Elf
ELF The Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern-day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.
The New York Times says that ELF is “SPLASHY, PEPPY, SUGAR-SPRINKLED HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT!” USA Today calls ELF, “ENDEARINGLY GOOFY!” Variety proclaims, “ELF is happy enough for families, savvy enough for city kids and plenty smart for adults!”
Based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit, ELF features songs by Tony Award® nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award® winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone).

SELFIES WITH SANTA 🎅
Please plan to arrive early so your little ones can say “Hello!” and have their picture taken with Santa before the performance! Santa will be seated in The Krannert Room, located on the lower level of Clowes Memorial Hall. Santa will be available when lobby doors open (90 minutes before the performance) and will head backstage to check on Buddy 10 minutes before the performance, leaving you plenty of time to return to your seat for the show’s start. There will also be coloring pages and crayons to keep your little ones entertained and in the Christmas spirit! This special Santa event is free for all patrons. However, a photographer will not be present, so please plan on taking your own pictures. We anticipate Santa being very popular, so please be aware that meeting Santa is available on a first-come, first-served and not guaranteed.
