Music at Butler: Butler University Percussion Ensemble

The Butler University Percussion Ensemble presents the first of its two spring semester concerts featuring the talents of the Butler percussion studio. Listeners will be immersed in a world of intricate rhythms, patterns, sounds, and textures – from bowed vibraphones, chiming flowerpots, marimbas, triangles, electronic grooves, and drums of all kinds. Directed by Artist-in-Residence Jon Crabiel, the program presents works by the most innovative, cutting-edge composers. From classical to jazz to pop to contemporary music to world percussion – this high energy concert has something for everyone!
