Duo Karolina Mikołajczyk & lwo Jedynecki, a dynamic and innovative chamber ensemble, has garnered recognition from musical icons Maxim Vengerov and Krzysztof Penderecki. Winners of international competitions across Europe with sold-out performances at Carnegie Hall, Guangzhou Opera House and Warsaw Philharmonic. Through original violin and accordion transcriptions and collaborations with prominent Polish and American composers, the Duo brings a fresh perspective to classical music, and their modern approach results in captivating performance videos with millions of views online. Recent NYC performances have included the Random Access Music Queens New Music Festival, the Bang on a Can Summer Marathon and with the Kronos Quartet at Carnegie Hall. At Butler they will present a contemporary program of music by Krzysztof Penderecki, Astor Piazzolla, Philip Glass, Miho Sasaki and Michael Schelle.
