WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER?
If a performance goes on as scheduled, in most cases refunds or exchanges will not be offered due to artist and venue contracts. If there are multiple performances, Clowes will make every effort to exchange the tickets. The status of public events, parking updates and revised Box Office hours due to adverse weather are communicated at ButlerArtsCenter.org.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
All visitor and event parking is available in the new parking garage facility, located in the 4700 block of Sunset Avenue, between 46th and 49th Streets. Motorist access to the 1,040-space garage is available from Sunset Avenue.
The Sunset Avenue Parking Garage is open 24 hours a day, with a standard rate structure, but may be subject to special event parking fees. Additional information on parking procedures.
HOW CAN I BUY TICKETS?
Tickets can be purchased through individual event pages at ButlerArtsCenter.org, at the Clowes Box Office, or by phone (800) 982-2787. Additional information on tickets.
CAN I REFUND OR EXCHANGE MY TICKETS?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges on tickets.
WHEN DO DOORS OPEN?
Doors open one (1) hour prior to each ticketed event.
WHY CAN’T I ENTER THROUGH THE SIDE DOORS?
We have closed the side doors for a number of reasons, particularly for safety/security. All guests are welcome to be dropped off at front doors to Clowes located directly off of the turn-around to the south of the building. There is no parking fee to access this area. Those needing additional assistance are welcome to place requests by calling Clowes Memorial Hall at 317-940-9697.
WHEN ARE THE PRE-PERFORMANCE SPEAKERS?
Pre-performance speaking events occur in the Krannert Room. This room can be reached by heading downstairs either by stairs or elevator located on either side of the lobby.
ARE SNACKS AND BEVERAGES AVAILABLE?
Yes, snacks and beverage are available at most evening performances.
IS THERE A COAT CHECK?
Yes, coat check is available.
WHEN CAN I GET MY TICKETS FROM WILL CALL?
Tickets for Will Call may be picked up 2 hours before the event or during regular business hours. Some exceptions may apply.
IS THE BOX OFFICE OPEN DURING SHOWS?
3 hours prior to showtime, and 30 minutes after curtain
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
Performances at the Butler Arts Center are not appropriate for newborns or infants. Every patron must have a ticket, regardless of age.
ARE THERE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE SEATS?

DO I NEED A TICKET FOR MY SMALL CHILD?
All children must possess a ticket for admission to ticketed events. Please contact (317) 940-6444 for questions regarding program content. Performances at the Butler Arts Center are not appropriate for newborns or infants.
ARE THERE HANDBAG/BACKPACK RESTRICTIONS OR PROHIBITED ITEMS?
You cannot bring backpacks or large handbags into the hall, and you may be asked to check these items at the coat check or return them to your vehicle. For a list of probited items, click here.
WHAT IS THE PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY POLICY?
The use of cameras and recording equipment is prohibited during performances. Press photography must be coordinated with the venue prior to the event.
ARE THERE ANY RESTAURANTS NEARBY?
There is a restaurant right around the corner on Butler University’s campus! Scotty’s Dawghouse is located on the first level of the parking garage. Broad Ripple located just a quick 10 minute drive away, also has many restaurants from which to chose. Other nearby options can be found at 56th and Illinois St, along with the intersection of 46th and Pennsylvania St.
IS CLOWES PART OF BUTLER?
Yes. Clowes Memorial Hall, along with the other venues of the Butler Arts Center, are owned and operated by Butler University.
