This exhibition runs from May 14 until June 7.
This event is free and open to the public.
Nearly a 9 Patch: The pattern and motifs for this quilt are original designs by Laura Welklin. The quilt was appliqued and quilted on her twenty five years old sewing machine.
Jag: This stunning art quilt by Leigh Layton began as a photograph, was manipulated, printed on fabric, and then thread painted. Lastly, it was quilted...all by machine!
The Aurora Quilt: Also known as the "Aurora-Elkhart Special", this quilt is based on a design by Jinny Beyer, utilizing forty-nine fabrics from the Jinny Beyer Studio. Commissioned by the Elkhart County Convention and Visitors Center, it was pieced by Diana Bennett and machine quilted by Doris Goins. It has been replicated a a barn mural that hangs on the Elkhart County VIsitors Center in Elkhart, Indiana.
