Virtuoso trumpeter, Thomas Hooten, and collaborative pianist, Rebecca Wilt, will present an engaging performance of a widely varied program.
The first half will feature works by Shchedrin, Glière, and Peskin.
Following intermission the program continues with works from American composers Joseph Turrin, John Williams, and Allen Vizzutti.
Mr. Hooten plays principal trumpet with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Previously Tom held positions with the Atlanta Symphony, the Indianapolis Symphony, and the United States Marine Corps Band.
Tom recently completed a recording project in collaboration with Composer John Williams.
