Ages: 7-12
Dates: June 23 – 27, 2025
As one of the most popular and versatile instruments, learning to play the guitar offers countless opportunities to make music and connect with others. Guitar Adventure Camp helps students with little or no experience explore the world of the guitar. From rock and blues to jazz and even classical music, students will learn about the role of the guitar in various genres and develop techniques they can use to begin learning their own favorite songs.
Guitar Adventure Camp is designed to engage students and help build their confidence as musicians. Students will develop their skills and expand their musical knowledge by learning a variety of songs through guided practice time, games, and music-listening sessions. Every day, students will learn a new musical concept, guitar technique, and work on playing songs. Not only will they develop individual skills but also learn to play music with others. By playing as part of a guitar ensemble, students will get to collaborate with fellow campers and make new friends. Camp will culminate in a final group performance where students can show off their new guitar skills.
Whether you picture yourself playing in refined concert halls, sold out stadiums, a cozy jazz club, or just strumming along to your favorite song, Guitar Adventure Camp will give you the skills to get started on your guitar-playing journey.
