Q: My sibling wants to go to camp, but based on our grades, we’d be in different camps. Can we go the same week?

A: Contact us and let’s talk through your specific situation! We want to be as accommodating as possible and also make sure each student has the best possible experience.

Q: I’m coming with friends, can we be roommates?

A: You can make a roommate request in your registration form. Each dorm room has two beds and shares a bathroom with another room to form a ‘suite’ of four students. While we can accommodate roommate requests, we cannot accommodate suitemate requests. We want students to meet new friends and get outside of their comfort zone!

Q: Can students who participate in BU: BeReal earn a Butler credit?

A: Yes! Students who participate in the experience for rising grades 11-12 will earn a Butler elective credit (1 credit hour). This credit is applicable to any Butler major. Other colleges and universities may determine transferability per their guidelines. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a college credit to the 9th/10th grade experience at this time.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: We will send you a full list ahead of the camp! We encourage students to bring:

  • Twin XL sheets and bedding (none provided)
  • Towels
  • Shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, facewash, period products, deodorant, etc. Soap and toilet paper will be provided.
  • The weather changes frequently and some buildings have rather chilly AC, bring a sweatshirt!
  • Meals and snacks will be provided, but you may want to bring a small amount of extra spending money for Starbucks or to shop at the Butler Bookstore.
  • Water bottle
  • Rain jacket, umbrella
  • Something to take notes with
  • Phone charger
